Mắt Nhắm Mắt Mở is not a specific place. It is a “headspace” that takes the form of a house, a simple linear structure shaped by Hiếu’s thoughts, emotions, memories, and the things he believes to be right.

The house does not belong to any particular place. It represents a process: the process of continuing to build, question, adjust, and move forward while still trying to find answers for oneself. Throughout the album, listeners are taken through different emotional corners of Hiếu’s headspace through music. Some moments are bright, some feel distant, and some are warm yet still carry a sense of loneliness.

The house is constantly changing, expanding, and rearranging its emotions, much like the way a person grows over time. Most importantly, the house will never be completely finished. Hiếu continues to build it, observe it, repair it, and sometimes start building it all over again.

This sense of incompleteness, together with the voids and negative space within it, became one of the most important emotional languages of the entire Mắt Nhắm Mắt Mở era.
